Leah Remini Responds to Danny Masterson Rape Charges: 'This Is Just the Beginning, Scientology'

"Finally, victims are being heard when it comes to Scientology," Remini tweeted in response to Masterson being charged on Wednesday with raping three women.
After years of allegations of sexual misconduct, harassment and assault, former "That '70s Show" and "The Ranch" star Danny Masterson has been charged with rape and former Scientologist Leah Remini sees this as the beginning of a huge shift.
For years, she has alleged that the organization enjoys outsized influence that it sometimes uses to cover up crimes of this nature committed by its members. She has even touched on this in her former show "Scientology and the Aftermath."
In the wake of noted Scientologist Masterson being charged in Los Angeles County of three counts of felony forcible rape involving three different unidentified women, per TMZ, the outspoken Scientology critic immediately invoked the organizations name in relation to his charges.
"Finally, victims are being heard when it comes to Scientology!" she captioned a headline from The Associated Press detailing the charges. "Praise the lord!"
She then effectively put the organization on notice, adding "This is just the beginning Scientology, your days of getting away with it is [sic] coming to an end!"
The actress actually put a focus on the years of allegations leveled against Masterson in the series finale of her A&E docuseries, bringing on two of his accusers for interviews. Masterson has denied any wrongdoing throughout the years and again maintains his innocence in the wake of the latest charges.

George Floyd's name seems to be heading toward foundation status -- 'cause his family is already making moves to lock up the rights to something called just that ... TMZ has learned.
George's brother, Philonise Floyd, recently applied to trademark the phrase "The George Floyd Foundation" -- and if he gets it, he'll be able to use it to teach and advocate.
Philonise is looking to put "The George Floyd Foundation" on downloadable software for mobile phones that educate on police reform, downloadable media files featuring documentaries about George and other digital materials like DVDs, and audio and video files.
A PLEA FOR CHANGE

He also wants to feature "The George Floyd Foundation" on a website dedicated to police reform, as well as downloadable documents and PDFs with information on the topic too.
But, there's more -- if Philonise gets this trademark, he'll also be able to slap that phrasing on COVID-19 face coverings, sweatshirts and T-shirts, baseball caps ... and even charitable fundraising events to support families who've fallen victim to police brutality.

Philonise also reveals in the application that he and the fam aim to conduct business seminars on social justice and police reform. So, yeah ... it looks like they're going for the works here in terms of starting a full-blown nonprofit for their deceased relative.
Considering how much change George Floyd's death has spurred thus far, setting up a foundation for the guy certainly feels like a logical next step. Here's hoping they get it.
